Essence has brought together thousands of young African American women for a day of recognition and a day of inspiration in Washington D.C. this weekend. The women were brought together for a conference that had work shops, exercises, and speakers to discuss and design a plan for a successful career, how to be smart financially and life skills.

The panel of speakers consisted of Vanessa Simmons, Angela Simmons, Tia Mowry, Amy DuBois Barnett, Glinda Bridgforth and many others.
