Dear V & A

I love your shoe collection but i have a problom my mom doesn’t see me as being a teenager even though i am { im 13} and she dosent understand that I have a differnt style than my sister’s do and she tries to buy me cloths that are to loose,and ugly i don’t want to say anything cause i know she’ll get mad any advice on how to still wear the clothes I like and not always what my mom picks out.

Our advice: You have just started your teenage years. Give yourself and your mother time to adjust to this new phase of your life. You may want to consider expressing your taste in fashion to your mother. After all, she is not a mind reader. She may not agree with your tastes at this time but at least she will be aware of it. She may be willing to compromise with you. Communication is key. TALK ABOUT IT!

He Likes Her As A Friend, She Likes Him More

Dear V&A

Well i have been knowing this boy for 3years and i have just grown to love him. So much he call me his Lil sis. but i don’t like him like that. i want to go with him. i think ha like me to but no I’m not what he want right now. to me he play to many games for me to be with him. it hurt to see him go with all the other girls. They don’t even care about him like i do. Yes he do girls wrong but what should i do? I would be lost with out him.

Our advice: We understand how you feel about this guy, but you need to pay attention to the signs. If he treats other women wrong what makes you think he will treat you any differently? If he is dating these women or not he should not mistreat them (or anyone for that matter). Also, if he considers you just a friend you may have to accept that. If he wanted something more with you he would pursue it. We are not saying he is not worth knowing but you have to accept certain things about people even if it may be something you do not like. You can’t force someone to like you.

What would you ladies suggest? Can y’all help her out?
