Our Great Adventure

Hello Everyone!

Although the weather this weekend was overcast and a bit chilly (matter of fact it was downright gloomy) here in the NYC metro area, we had lots of fun. Saturday, we hung out with the Girl Scouts at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson N.J.! We had a chance to meet a number of the Girl Scout troops in the area. We spoke to them about entreprenuership and were even given keys to the park! We rode a number of rollercoasters with some of the Girl Scouts. It was a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!

Were any of you there? Who has been to any of the Six Flags parks? Let us know if you are into rollercoasters as much as Vanessa and I are. I must admit Kingda Ka was no joke! It was soooo SCARY! Do you have a favorite ride? Tell us your favorite Six Flags experience (or worst).

If you are a Girl Scout, give a shout out to your troop in the comments section!

Let’s take a poll of the favorite girl scout cookie by placing your favorite Girl Scout cookie in the comments section.

Stay posted because we will post a video clip and pictures from the fun-filled day. If you were there that day, you may see yourself in the pictures/video tape, so stay posted and stay tuned!…

A.S.

    (sorry that I always type books. I type like I talk… I never stop… I never shut up)

    My lil godsis, Ajanae, is a Girl Scout. They’re in Atlanta! So, shout out to my Notty Bear!!!

    When I was little (from the time that I was 4 years old), my daddy wanted to make sure that my brother and I went to Six Flags Over Georgia every year after our annual vacay to Daytona. So, I absolutley LOVE Six Flags! For the longest, my favorite ride was the Mind Bender (I think it’s called the Riddeler now). I was too little to ride when I was 5, but my dad talked the guy into it. Haha! I’ll never forgert watching my dad ride with his shades on the ENTIRE time. LOL! The last time that I actually went to Six Flags was when I was 13. I hate that soooo much! The last ride that I remember riding was the Acraphobia! That scared the crap out of me!! It was fun though. Thankfully, I’ll be going back to the Flags this summer!!! My third home!!! And I’ll be going to Magic Mountain later this summer! So, Yay for that too!
    Anywho… I’m glad that you enjoyed yourselves. I’m really big on coasters! I have to ride all of them. Blame my daddy… :)

    Worst Six Flags Experience(s):
    1.) Being told that I was too little to ride things when I was 4. It wasn’t my parents telling me, though. They wanted me to ride. It was that darned ruler! So, I drank milk the entire year hoping to be able to ride the next year. I hate milk now, though. Weird, huh?
    2.) Waiting in line for nearly 50 minutes to ride the Georgia Scorcher… We got in our seats and then my best friend jumped off! I thought something was wrong so I jumped off too. Nothing was wrong. She just didn’t want to ride, and caused me to miss the ride. I was TICKED!
    3.) Watching my brother and my dad riding the Ninja (i was 6). It got stuck. I was sooo scared. But, I forgot about them when I saw the guy selling those springy light-up eyes and that you wear on your head. LOL!

    Best Six Flags Experience(s):
    1.) Taking a picture with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Foghorn Leghorn. I still have those lovely shots! I bought an Anamaniacs backpack that year too! It was Dot!
    2.) Running around looking for the stars who were on the TRL Tour. They were in Atlanta for about three days, so Jasmin (bff) and I thought we might see them there. We looked high and low. I think we saw Show Time, though (3LW’s choreographer at the time). LOL!

    One day I plan to take a whole summer to visit all of the theme parks that are one the “America’s Tallest Rides” list. I’m one of those thrill-seeker girls. LOL! <3 That’ll be after my Route 66 roadtrip, though. :D

    The Lemon Chalet Creme (i think that’s the new one) is delish, too! Tangy and sweet. (and of course because the box is yellow, I love it!)

    I LOVE Six Flags and any place with a kick butt rollercoaster! I wish I could have hung out with you guys.

    My best experience: Having my first kiss on the ferris wheel. We then rode the log flume at night holding one another and kissing some more just before the final big drop. He won a stuffed animal for me too. It was very romantic day I will never forget. Our school always has a senior class trip there and I will be there.

    My worst experience: Having my best friend throw up on me after riding the spinning ride where the floor drops. The smell made me sick and I threw up too. I know, gross!

    My favorite GS cookie: Trefoils (Pretty shade of blue box) and the Lemon Cremes. The Lemon Cremes actually aren’t new. They stopped making them for a while but have now brought them back.

    Whenever I think of rollercoasters I get so hype during spring break I went to Busch Gardens the Griffon was no joke it has a 90 degree drop and it sits you there for a second then a complete rush comes over your body and Apollos Chariot just went up and down the whole time and the roller coaster was going up for like 10 years before we dropped and when you finally did drop that loop that comes in your stomach is like ten times worse and I also went to Kings Dominion during spring break the I went on every roller coaster except one (I got on every rollercoaster at Busch Gardens) the roller coaster I didn’t get on was the volcano and I didn’t get on one ride because we were about to leave and the line was too long but the Flight Of Fear is and underground rollercoaster but the worse part is when it starts it launches because it’s like a space, alien, secret service theme (LOL) and my fave Girl Scout cookie is Lemon Shortbread.
