No Joy Ride
i spent last weekend and my friend “Shelby’s” house. When her parents and little brother were asleep, we took her father’s car keys and drove his car. It was fun and scary. as we tried to turn a corner we ran into a telephone pole. we jumped out the car and ran all the way back to her house. the next morning the police told her family they found the car totalled. they police think they know who is responsible. my problem is i feel so guilty. i do not want someone to be punished for what my friend and i did. my friend is like be quiet and let it blow over. i feel so bad. what do i do?
Signed, “Partly Guilty”
Our advice: We are glad to see that you want to admit the part you played. Just don’t let someone who is innocent get in trouble over something you and your friend did.

will i think you should tell the parents and the cops because later if they found that you did it your punishment would me worst
May 31st, 2008 at 8:55 pmGurl first you need to speak up because who ever was driving the car has left their finger prints on the drivers wheel and you might as well tell now cause the truth will be exposed and it will not be pretty. I think it is good that you want to tell the truth but it is bad that you friend doesn’t.
June 2nd, 2008 at 11:34 amI think you need to go on and admit that you were in the car if you were driving or not. Just to lighten the load on your shoulders right now.
