Friend’s Overseas Relationship
Dear Angela and Vanessa Simmons;
I have this friend named “Karen”. Last summer she went on vacation to a foreign country (we live in the US). When she came back she told me she had a boyfriend. I’m gonna list all the problems with this relationship.
1- he’s turning 18 soon and she recently turned 14.
2- she spends ALL her money on phone cards to call him
3- when she calls him there is ALWAYS a girl with him
4- when she doesnt call even one day he gets mad and says he never wants to talk to her again. Instead he sends her messages dedicating mean songs to her. This makes angelica depressed and starts saying she wants to shoot herself.
5- she ends up apologizing to him when he does something wrong
6- he can make her do anything for him
7- he went into her AIM account and deleted all her guy friends
8- she’s waking up late at night to talk to him and her parents are noticing
9- if she sees a guy she thinks is cute she feels guilty and starts killing herself over “cheating” on him
These are the things that worry me the most about them. I dont wanna ruin our friendship by talking to her cause she always gets mad when me and my friend talk to her about it. I really care about my friend end don’t want her to get hurt.

Our advice: It seems like your friend is head over heels in love. At this point, she may not really listen to any advice you have to give her. In a gentle way, point these things that you listed out to her. Even if he is a foreigner he has not right to be so rude and inconsiderate to her. Eventually, she will grow tired of the disrespect. She will eventually let go because he is overseas and not near her. Just be there for her. Listen to her but explain what you see from the outside looking in. Be patient she will come around.
What would you ladies suggest? Should she let the overseas ship sail on and sink or should she hold out for true love with a foreigner. What should the friend do? Your suggestions are needed!

i think that it should sink cuz no girl shud try 2 kill themselves 4 a guy n not no guy that she doesnt even see often n he mite b cheating on her soo it shud sink
