Fast Friend & My Reputation
I think I really need your help on this.
A friend of mine since third grade is making it hard for us to be friends. Don’t get me wrong she is nice and a great friend but she messes around with so many boys. All the girls don’t like her because she is so fast and the boys think she is easy. One girl at school asked me why I was friends with her because of this. A boy came up to me talking nasty talk. I told him I dont do them kind of things. He said I was a liar because I am good friends with her. He said birds of a feather flock together. She is like family to me and I hate the way people talk about her. I do not want them thinking that I am the same way. Help me.
Our advice: You should have a discussion with your friend about her actions. Is it true that she is involved with that many guys or is it just people exaggerating and gossiping? Let her know that there can be bad results for her actions. Find out! Let her know how people do not have high opinions of her and that it is becoming a reflection on your friendship. You should also not be so concerned with what others think. If she is such a great friend you should not stop being her friend because people talk negatively towards her. Real friends are hard to find. People will always find something to talk about regarding other people. Be a true friend and stand by her side no matter what people say. Hope that helps.
