Am I Blinded?
Advice Needed!!!!
I like this boy and he likes me. Here\’s the problem: my friends DESPISE him. They say he\’s mean to them and they think he\’s gross. But in my eyes, I see a really sensitive and emotional guy that would never hurt me. Since I\’m sort of a pushover, they think that he will take advantage of me. They say that he\’s full of himself, but I just think that since he\’s popular, he\’s just feeling pressured. They are worried that if I go out with him, he will turn me against them, but I keep telling them that I never will. I don\’t know who to believe or what to do. Please help!

Our advice: Although your friends may have your best interest at heart the ultimate decision is yours. They may have some wisdom to offer you. Be open to listen to your friends but don’t allow them to control your actions. The same thing should apply to your guy. Listen to what both parties have to say but make your decisions on your own.

You shouldn’t care what your freinds think if you love him than you should go for it!If they have a problem with you goin out with someone THEY don’t like then they are not true freinds.I really think that you should tell them that.
June 3rd, 2008 at 8:24 amIf u really likes him then give it a try & see wat happens but do not lose ur friends in the process, explain 2 dem dat u’ll need 2 give give a chance 2 see how things work out…..but also keep a open mind 2 wat ur friend r sayin so u wudn’t get hurt…..but give it a try but wit ur eyes open cuz they cud see tings dat u might not see cuz of ur feelins.

If they act as if they don’t want to be your friend anymore then really they weren’t true friends in the beginning. Take time out to get to know him first and then decide from there.

But if they are your real friends they will understand if you go out with him because I know mine did thats how I know that shes my best friend and is here for me no matter what.

June 11th, 2008 at 1:04 pmi think that you should see what happens with your boyfriend.. if he trys to do anything at all to you and your not ready for it then just tell him say im not ready yet… if he tries it again maybe talk to him about your limits,…if your friends are still nailing on you about him then maybe you should tell them that you and your boyfriend talked and tell te about it… i think that the reason that your friends are so skeptical is because you aren’t keeping them updated on you and your boyfriend. try keeping them informed. it might help:)

Its going to be your boyfriend not theirs, if they dont trust that you wont be their friend when you get in the relationship that means they question your friendship with them. If he treats you good then i think you should take a chance. If u go with him and you notice that your friends are shying away from you then dont run after them because if they were your true friends they would kno that the only thing that matters is your happiness and if they dont want that 4 you then they are jealous. If they dont know that friendship is not something you end over a boy then they must not be good friends. Have they ever thought that he be mean to them just to show out or to show that he want to be they friend…he probably want a reaction out of them. if they dont like him maybe they need to learn to ignore and for their friend try to be friends with her boyfriend so yall wont be mad at each other.

The man that likes you is popular and they feel that once you are with him that it’s all over with them and your friendship. What you have got to make them realize is that if they are truely ur best friends that you wouldnt choose the guy over them. You should divide your time equally (or you know somewere around equally) so that both groups feel equally appreciated by you and then everybodys happy!

Most guys do that treat you one way and treat your other friends a different way. Most of the time they care about you more than they care about your other friends. if he turns out to be the kind of guythat you like. i say take a chance. popular is just a state of mind. you really go to school for one thing and thats to get an education. dont let him interfere with that. if you are in middle school or in elementary i would say focus on school right now bcuz most likely he is not going to last when you get in high school. it takes time so just start off as friends and then let your relationship grow over time n c if he is really what you looking for in the future and just not right now. most people only look for right now but you also have to c the future in yall relationship. i know what your going through 1 am 16 and my best friend went trough that.
